School Health Care Packages

Package 1: In-School Nurses

  • Available on all school days from 8am till 5pm
  • All supplies and medications needed to manage minor injuries and illnesses are provided by the Hospital and are billed after needs have been established.
  • First Aid kit stocking (billed separately)
  • Annual First Aid training for staff
  • One complimentary health talk to staff and parents per term.
  • Further support from the hospital team in case of escalated incidences.

Package 2: On-School Nurse

  • Available on all school days when called upon
  • Will come with all needed supplies – to be billed accordingly after management of patient.
  • One complimentary health talk to staff annually.
  • Further support from the hospital team in case of escalated incidences.

Package 3: Onsite Medical Consultations

  • Regular health check-ups for students and staff which will include medical consultations and physical examinations.
  • Comprehensive investigation of illnesses including laboratory and radiological examinations.
  • Providing treatment options, prescriptions and other medical interventions on a case-by-case basis.
  • Referrals to specialists when necessary
  • Medical advice and guidance.
  • Aid in design of health activities or programs for the students.
  • Assessment of students’ conditions to determine clearance for exemption from certain school activities.
  • Pre-employment and Fit-for-duty medical assessments of any staff.

Package 4: First Aid and Emergency Response Training

  • Trained medical personnel are available during school hours throughout the school term.
  • Ambulance services with quick response to accidents, injuries, or medical emergencies
  • Coordination with other specialized interventions when necessary
  • Individualized close monitoring and follow up of cases.
  • Basic first aid training for students and staff which is a life skill. This includes certification upon completion of the training program.
  • Availability during major school events such as sports days and visitation days to address any health issues that may arise.

Package 5: Health Screenings

  •  Vision and hearing tests
  • Blood pressure monitoring
  • BMI assessments
  • Blood sugar monitoring
  • Dental check-ups
  • Toxicology screening for drug abuse including blood alcohol concentration.
  • Laboratory tests for various illnesses such as malaria, UTI, typhoid fever, Ulcers, diarrheal illnesses, food poisoning, etc. The tests include Urinalysis, Hepatitis B and C surface antigen, Typhoid antibodies, blood smear, etc.
